Privacy Policy
Drill Alarm is a local-first iOS app. It is designed so that we never see, collect, or store your personal data. This policy explains what happens on your device and what (very little) leaves it.
No accounts, no personal data collected by us
Drill Alarm has no sign-up, no login, and no user accounts. We do not collect your name, email address, contacts, location, or any other personal information. Your alarms, exercise sessions, rep counts, and streaks are stored only on your iPhone. If you delete the app, that data is deleted with it.
Camera and pose detection
Drill Alarm uses your iPhone's front camera to verify exercise reps (push-ups, squats, jumping jacks). All pose detection runs entirely on-device using Apple's built-in frameworks.
- Video is never recorded, saved, or stored — frames are analyzed in real time and immediately discarded.
- Nothing from the camera is ever uploaded or transmitted off your device.
- Only the resulting numbers (e.g. reps completed, time to complete) are kept, locally, for your stats and streak.
You can revoke camera access at any time in iOS Settings; the app will simply be unable to count reps.
Purchases and subscriptions
Subscriptions are purchased through Apple and processed by Apple. We never see your payment details. To manage subscription entitlements (i.e. to know whether your subscription is active), the app uses RevenueCat, a subscription-management service. RevenueCat receives an anonymous, randomly generated identifier and purchase receipt information from Apple — not your name, email, or any other personal details. See RevenueCat's privacy policy for how they handle this data.
No ad tracking, no analytics profiles
Drill Alarm contains no advertising, no ad trackers, and does not track you across other apps or websites. We do not sell or share any data — we don't have any to sell.
Children
Drill Alarm is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect any information from anyone (see above — we collect none at all).
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update this page and the effective date above. Material changes that affect how data is handled will be noted in the app's release notes.
